حاصل على  الدكتوراه  في علاج الغدد الصماء
تقلد مناصب كثيرة في عديد من المستشفيات الامريكية
له اعداد كبيرة من المنشورات الطبية والمؤلفات في اختصاص الغدد الصماء في امريكا
تدريسي ناجح في عدد من الكليات الطبية في الولايات المتحدة الامريكية
علم من اعلام طب والكيمياء الطبية  في امريكا
ومفخرة عراقية اخرى  في عالم الطب والعلوم

For nearly 40 years, Sami Hashim, MD, has served St. Luke’s and Roosevelt Hospitals with distinction as a compassionate clinician in the field of metabolism and nutrition. Formerly the longtime Chief of the Division of Metabolism, Dr. Hashim currently serves as a senior attending physician in the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism. He is also a professor of Nutritional Medicine at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. A tireless researcher, he has published more than 200 papers and articles in peer-reviewed journals and is an internationally recognized expert in the field of metabolism and nutrition.
